Michel Manceau – PNM Association
Michel Manceau arrived in Madagascar with the privatization of the industry, tasked by the European Union with organizing the facilitation of vanilla exports to major consumer countries.
Following this mission, he arrived in early 2010 in Ambodivoara, a large town of 20,000 inhabitants, where he met Jean Victorien, then Chief of the Fokontany (administrative district) in the center of town, to develop a vanilla flower industry for the global cosmetics industry.
Together, they brought together some 200 vanilla growers, who were interested in this diversification, which would relieve the pressure on the vines (it is recommended to let only part of the pollinated brooms grow, 20 out of 25 on average, in order to strengthen the growth of the remaining pods).
Year after year, the vanilla flowers were exported to Société Pacifique Sud Ingrédients, while Société PNM was born in Madagascar to export vanillas of particularly Ambodivoara origin, as attested by the hallmark on the pods, pinched by the producers to their own brands.
Thus was born the PNM Ambodivoara Association, which today brings together some 400 producers bound by a tradition of high-quality, artisanal preparation of the beans.

The Distributor
Pacifique Sud Distribution
Pacifique Sud, located in the south of France, plays an essential role in the worldwide distribution of vanilla from Madagascar and Tahiti. With over 30 years’ expertise in the field, the company works closely with local producers to ensure that the precious vanilla beans, carefully cultivated and prepared by Madagascan and Tahitian artisans, reach international markets. Thanks to their in-depth know-how, the Pacifique Sud teams act as a strategic relay on the European continent, facilitating exports to the world’s major consumers. They also ensure that each pod bears the unique stamp of its continent of origin, a true guarantee of quality and authenticity.
